Enter a total price and quantity to find the price per unit and compare deals.

Finding the real best deal

Stores price products in different package sizes precisely because it makes comparison hard. Unit price cuts through that by reducing everything to the cost of a single gram, ounce, liter, or item, so you can line up options fairly.

The lowest unit price is usually the better value, but with one honest caveat: a bulk pack only saves money if you actually use it before it is wasted. This calculator gives you the per-unit figure so the comparison is no longer guesswork.

The formula

unit price = total price / quantity

Worked example

A 500 g pack for 6 works out to 0.012 per gram.

How to read your result

Unit price is the honest way to compare products sold in different sizes. The lowest unit price is usually the better value, though larger packs only help if you will use them.
